Yes, you guessed right, this game doesn’t have the word ‘souls’ in its name for nothing. Eldest Souls is a beautiful boss rush game that has you fighting your way through a citadel full of giant monsters. Battles are fast, difficult and beautifully animated.
Due to the speed and the top-down perspective, calling it a Souls-like is more marketing than fact. This is a game for fans of the “die, often, try again” genre in an attractive pixel art package.
